At fifteen years of age Nick Skelton landed the job of a lifetime working for Ted Edgar. He had visited the Edgar yard for some advice about a difficult pony and ended up learning from Ted for the next 12 years. Following a fantastic career, Nick sadly had to retire in 2001 following an injury to his neck in September 2000. Two year later, however, Nick was given the all clear to start riding again and carry his great show jumping career further. Nick’s career highlights include winning 59 International Grand Prix’s, winning at Hickstead three times, and competing for team GB 160 times winning 13 Championship medals. He was also the World Cup Final winner in 1995 on his wonderful horse, Dollar Girl.
