
2009 Druento International Horse Centre opens at weekend

Horseball will be the discipline that opens the season at Druento, where the second stage of both first and second divisions of the Italian Horseball Championships and the National Pony Tournament take place on April 25 and 26. Meanwhile from May 1-3 it will be the turn of the Dressage with the National Dressage Type B** Championship and the CDI J/YR/P International Championship, which will then be repente on May 8-10 with the International CDI*** Dressage Championship. The latter tournament will prove to be a true test ahead of the European Championships to be held at Windsor Castle, Britain, from August 25-30. A prestigious jury and high level of participants arriving from eight countries (Austria, Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Russia, South Africa and Switzerland) guarantee emotion and entertainment. German Olympic champion Ulla Salzberger has confirmed her presence at the event which will take place at the covered riding school where entrance is free.
