The Irish rider scores two wins on day two of the ‘Continental’ CSI5*, presented by Rolex

Spruce Meadows (CAN) – Two classes, two wins: Daniel Coyle was the undisputed star of day two at the prestigious ‘Continental’ CSI5*, presented by Rolex, held at the iconic Spruce Meadows venue. After claiming victory in the The Partners 1.50m earlier in the day, the Irish rider returned to top the leaderboard in the The Mustangs 1.55m, riding his brilliant grey gelding Incredible.

Winning at Spruce Meadows is never easy, but Coyle’s experience and precision stood out as he navigated the challenging 1.55m course designed by Canadian Peter Grant. Out of sixteen horse-and-rider combinations qualified for the jump-off, none could match Coyle’s blazing time of 38.66 seconds, the fastest clear round of the evening.

“I can’t say enough good things about Spruce Meadows. I’ve learned so much here. My horses have learned so much here. They do an amazing job – the improvements never stop. They put in new footing last year and I think it’s even better this year. I’m really looking forward to the weekend, and we’ve had a fantastic start,” said Daniel Coyle after his double triumph.

The top-placed Canadian was Kara Chad, who delivered a strong performance with Igor GPH to finish second, narrowly ahead of her fiancé Matthew Sampson (GBR), who took third with Ebolensky. An international podium and a thrilling prelude to what promises to be an exciting weekend.
