Actor Alex Belli opens the first urban horse trail in Italy

The first urban horse trail in Italy was inaugurated today in the historic centre of Verona.
The bond between Verona and the world of horses has very ancient roots. It all started 119 years ago, when Fieracavalli made its debut as a simple horse trading show. Alex Belli – the television actor with a great passion for the equestrian world and saddleback trekking – together with a team of 5 experienced riders, rode for the first time along the section in outskirts arriving at Piazza Bra in the heart of Verona, just in front of Arena. The route in the city itself joins more than 120 km of Monte Baldo horse trails was developed in recent months thanks to collaboration between Veronafiere, the Monte Baldo Cable Car Company and Verona; it will be opened to the public at the beginning of 2018. ‘I just felt like Terence Hill,’ said Alex Belli. ‘To ride along this new urban horse trail was just like going back in time to one hundred years ago, when you only used horses to move. To see the most evocative places in Verona atop of a saddle was a unique experience, I just felt for a moment in another world’. press release Equi Equipe
