Alberto Michan has changed nationality and joined the Israeli team

Israel Flag 1

Alberto Michan has decided to switch allegiance and will compete for Israel from now on.
Prior to this decision the 39-year-old had competed for Mexico and achieved international renown when he finished fifth in the 2012 London Olympic Games; having already taken part in the 2008 Beijing Games and the World Champion in 2006 and 2014 as well as taking part in the Pan-American Games on a number of occasions.
This is the second high profile acquisition for the Israeli team who added Daniel Bluman, a former Colombian rider, to their line-up.
Michan, whose family comes from Israel, bolsters the nation’s ambitions ahead of the WEG 2018, and the nation’s final goal of qualifying for Tokyo 2020.
