
All set for the Grand Prix in Rome

The 2018 Cavalli a Roma event comes to close today at the Fiera di Roma. The starting list is long and including excellent names, so it is difficult any kind of prediction.
The height of the fenches goes till 1.45 mts in the Uliano Vezzani designed course which will involve 46 pairs.
Colombian sprinter Andres Penalosa competes on Lajo Secondo who was previously ridden by Gabriele Grassi. On his turn, Grassi features with his new mate My Cool Passion. Together they won in the high category on Friday.
Luca Marziani is also included and will try to repeat Saturday’s success in the 140 atop of Saxo des Hayettes.
2017 Cavalli a Roma winner Dario Luigi Agosta also joins the group with Viskann di Sabuci. High competition comes from Paolo Adorno who will compete with Fer ZG. The pair won the national youth championship finals for 6-year and 7-year-old.
Bologni father and son are also in the starting list: Arnaldo is the legendary winner of Rome GP of Piazza di Siena. After him no other rider has managed to enter the golden book of CSIO since 1994. His son Filippo, who was actually born in 1994, has taken part in 6 European youth championships, winning a bronze medal with his team in 2014.
Family Casadei is also represented by 2006 Italian champion Mirco and his talented 15-year-old son Giacomo: for him a bronze medal at the 2017 European championships for young riders and two consecutive victories in the Memorial Dalla Chiesa Grand Prix (2016 and 2017).
The only lady involved is Sara Morucci (Stardust Z). The 17-year-old rider has been called up several times in the Italy youth team for the Nations Cup.
Last but not least, Gianni Govoni, who represented Italy in two Olympic Games and three World Cups. “The Faster of Master” has been competing with a new horse, Evenzo. He has not won yet these days, but it is in such situations that he may turn out to be the real surprise of the Grand Prix.
