The international show jumping competition at Augusta (Sr) which will light up the fields of the Adim from October Friday 9th to Sunday 11th has been further enriched with the name of Juan Carlos Garcia to the ranks of participants in Sicily for the CSI3* in Augusta, then Palermo a week later.Garcia set a new record in September as other than winning a team silver medal at the show jumping European championships at Windsor castle, a few days later at Fontainbleu in France he displayed his double personality by winning another team silver in eventing. In doing so, Garcia matched his teammates Piergiorgio Bucci and Jonella Ligresti (reserve in England). Born in Bogota (Columbia) on October 2, 1967, Garcia obtained an Italian passport eight years ago and has since participated in three times in the Olympic Games: Seoul, Barcelona and Athens. His most important triumphs include the recent fourth place in the World Cup finals in Kuala Lumpur in 2004, 6th place in Milan in 2006 and 4th place for the team, 6th place for individual for the San Patrignano European Championships 2005, always with his companion, Albin III. His horse however retired in Novemeber 2008 at the end of the World Cup Grand Prix in Verona.Meanwhile, the first horses have arrived for the second International Raffaella Aprile Challenge and are preparing for the veterinary visit at the Adim structure.
