Amazing bid from Saudi Arabia for Artuur JH Z

Abdullah Al Sharbatly bought the most expensive horse at Starhorses’ Z Online Auction, Artuur JH Z, for a stratospheric amount of 240.000 euro.
The 12-year-old Zangersheide gelding (Andiamo Z x Baloubet du Rouet) has already competed at fivestar Grand Prix level with Belgium’s Thierry Goffinet in the saddle and won two three-star Grand Prix classes in Vilamoura last year. 
The auction ended with 1.023.500 euro taking, coming most from the sale of Artuur JH Z but also from Jonsaunier DH (Vertigo Saint Beoint x Codes), a 9-year-old stallion sold for 170.000 euro to the US.
Third best auction was Idole 111, a 10-year-old mare by Darco x Cassini, sold for 100.000 euro to Belgium. Source: Horses nl
