The season of the “Horses Le Lame Sporting Club” kicked off with 374 horses at the starting line.
The “Bac Technology” Trophy, a 5* event in Montefalco, also hosted the FISE Sport Project categories, being a course of fundamental importance for the youth’s growth in the equestrian sports.
Seniores and young promises competed with their horses on the courses designed by Fulvio Santi.
As usual, the highlight of the day was the Grand Prix 145. Olympic eventing rider Stefano Brecciaroli atop of Masai delle Schiave stole the spotlight: an all-Italian pair who clinched a 1/0 in the two rounds, leaving behind Francesco Franco on Comte d’Ecaussinnes (0/4). The runner-up ended with the time of 38”64, ahead of Pasquale Datena with Folkert. The third placed had the same penalties in the two rounds, but the clock said 43”60 for him.
Back to the winner of the competition: Masai delle Schiave is an Italian gelding born in 2010 (Ustinov X Gluecksgriff), in ownership between Stefano Brecciaroli and the stud delle Schiave owned by Alessandra Ridoli. His mother is the same of Lazzaro delle Schiave, who is always competing at international level under the saddle of Massimo Grossato.
“Masai is with me since he was three“, Brecciaroli explained. “His approach with the courses has always been positive. He is a horse who likes collaborating and whatever he is destined to do, according to his capabilities, he will do it in a successful way.“
