
BREEDING CIRCUIT: RULES UPDATE FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

The latest update from the Italian breeding circuit, Unire, is that the planned event in Santa Giusta from 1st – 3rd August has been brought forward to July 31st- August 1st .Meanwhile, Equestrian World that also affects the international breeding circuit is that there have been changes to the regulation of the World Championships for young horses in Lanaken, Belgium from 18th – 21st September, 2014. The selection of those to participate in the World Championships will take place in conjunction with FISE. It is restricted to horses born and bred in Italy. Participation in the Championship is restricted to a maximum of four horses and four Italian riders for each category (5,6 and 7 years old). The 12 horses will be evaluated and selected through a competition to be held in Alviano (TR) held at the riding club ASD Playhorse Club Umbria from August 29th – 31st. The selection of the horses to be admitted to the competition includes only horses that have participated in races of a Top Classic Circuit and that have obtained at least one clear round. The final results will be drawn up taking into account the sum of the penalties of the three competitions.At the end of the selection, technical staff will follow up the horses selected for preparation until the World Championships. The contest entry selection implies the availability to participate in the World Championships. Finally, with regard to the Circuit Classic 2014 it has been announced that the venue for the final will be the Arezzo Equestrian Centre, from 7th October – 12th October, 2014. source: www.unire.gov.it
