The first week of the CSI3* in Arezzo, Tuscany, ended with the win of Bruno Chimirri atop of Tower Mouche. Second place was Switzerland’s Martin Fuchs and third was Ireland’s Conor Swile. The Piccolo Grand Prix of Silver Tour registered the success of French rider Paul Delforge.
A ray of sunshine on a rainy day. Bruno Chimirri made a great performance atop of Tower Mouche (Diamant de Semilly x Bleu Blanc Rouge II) and was the best of the 55 pairs taking part at the Gold Gran Prix of the CSI3* in Arezzo, the epilogue of the first week in Tuscany.
After a perfect start in the basic course, the rider of the Arma dei Carabinieri did well to overcome the barrage of Switzerland’s Gérard Lachat and scored a clear round in 38.84 seconds. Behind him was Switzerland’s Martin Fuchs on Chica B Z (0/0 in 38.98).
“It was an excellent test for Tower Mouche,“ said Chimirri at the end of the class. “The course in Arezzo is top level, the field was not damaged by the heavy rain. The organization at the Tuscany Tour is high quality and it is always a pleasure to join there. Regarding the class, the barrage was difficult because some options were boarderline. The hardest part was the speed and this was the key factor which determined the final success.“
Third spot was Ireland’s Conor Swile with a double clear in 33“66. The rest of the Italian riders also did well, with Riccardo Pisani, Paolo Zuvadelli and Gabriele Grassi ending respectively fourth, fifth and sixth.
In the piccolo Grand Prix of the Silver Tour, the success went to France’s Paul Delforge on Terre du Banney (Crown Z x Olisco), an 11-year-old Selle français bay. The pair score a clear round in 38,92 seconds.Second place was Austria’s Miklos Tassilo Csillaghy with Christino (0/0 in 40.61) followed by Italy’s Fabio Brotto on Vaniglia Delle Roane. Also on this occasion the Boccaccio Arena guaranteed the best performances to the 76 riders involved.
