Cavaliada Tour: CSI3*W LR Big Round

The Big Tour class, counting for Longines Ranking and CAVALIADA Tour, for the prize of LOTTO and under the patronage of Horse & Business Magazine, saw 57 riders on the start list. 12 of them managed to go clear over the course and qualify for the jump-off. The scoreboard was dominated by Dutch riders. Victory went to Gerben Morsink aboard 12-year-old Navarone Z, and Jack Ansems with Fliere Fluiter finished second.
“I think that the first round was quite a technical course, with some difficult jumps out of the corner, and a line at the beginning, which was long or short, depending on what you chose. At the same time, my horse felt really good, so that gave me a lot of confidence and we were able to clear it. We were in the jump-off with a lot of Dutch people. I know them, of course, and I know they are always fast. My plan was to ride a really fluent round, I didn’t want to hold too much, and I wanted to keep it easy for the horse. The plan worked perfectly, and I was really happy. It’s a super day for me today. It’s my first time in Poznań and it’s great to be here. It’s a lovely show, with a really nice atmosphere. It’s a show that gives you a great feeling and positive vibes as a rider.” – said the winner.
Polish national champion Wojciech Wojcianiec came in close third with the chestnut Chintablue. “The first round was selective. I had a different plan for the jump-off, I wanted to do 7 strides in the first line and 6 in the second, but that didn’t work out. My horses Naccord Melloni and Chintablue are jumping great here, so I’m full of optimism for the next days.” – said the Pole.
The world ranking mid-round final is about to begin.
