CHI BASEL CLASSICS 2026
The 2026 edition of the CHI Basel Classics reaffirmed its status as a premier event for indoor equestrian sports, delivering images that capture the very highest level of international competition. In St. Jakobshalle, show jumping tested elite combinations over tight, technical courses, culminating in a World Cup stage decided by fractions of a second, while dressage showcased a discipline where experience and precision continue to set the standard. From established stars to emerging talents, Basel once again displayed its unique balance of sport, elegance, and intensity, offering moments that photography captures perfectly: sharp, powerful, and essential.

Donald Whitaker and Millfield Colette set the stage in the World Cup Grand Prix, delivering the first error-free round and raising the bar for the competition.

The Swiss fans turned the arena into a true home for the sport, cheering every pair with warmth and authenticity, making Basel’s atmosphere unforgettable.

Every second counts – even the tiniest instant can mean the difference between success and error.

At the CHI Basel Classics 2026, the World Cup stage was not only the first competition of the year but also the 8th of 13 events in the Western European League, with five more European stops to come — in Leipzig, Amsterdam, Bordeaux, Gothenburg, and Helsinki — before the season concludes at the World Cup Final in Fort Worth, Texas, in April 2026.

Philip Svitzer, a rising U25 star, shone on the field, winning the U25 Grand Prix aboard Alida Nike.

Kim Emmen and Imagine NOP took the Grand Prix of the City of Basel on Friday night and secured second place in the World Cup Grand Prix.

The 2026 edition of the CHI Basel Classics closed leaving an indelible mark: from Richard Vogel’s World Cup triumph, to the young talents who made their mark, to the overwhelming energy of the Swiss crowd turning every jump into a shared moment. Four days of competition, precision, and passion once again showcased the elegance and intensity of international equestrian sport, delivering images and memories that will last far beyond the arena doors.
