CHI Geneva 2025: the excellence of global equestrian sport returns to shine
From 10 to 14 December, the Palexpo Arena in Geneva will once again become the beating heart of international show jumping with a new edition of the Concours Hippique International de Genève (CHI Geneva). The world’s finest riders and horses will gather in Switzerland to showcase precision, elegance and harmony on one of the most technical and respected stages in the sport.
The indoor temple of show jumping
Hosted in the largest indoor equestrian arena in the world, CHI Geneva is one of the most anticipated appointments of the year, especially as it features two key events on the international calendar: the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final and the prestigious Rolex Grand Prix, the final Major of the annual Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping.
The 2025 edition will culminate on Sunday 14 December with the Rolex Grand Prix, an iconic and highly demanding test renowned for its challenging courses that have shaped the event’s legend.
A lasting bond: 25 years of the Rolex Grand Prix
Rolex has been Presenting Sponsor of CHI Geneva since 1996, and in 2025 it will celebrate 25 years as Title Sponsor of the Rolex Grand Prix—an important milestone that reflects its long-standing commitment to excellence.
The connection between Rolex and CHI Geneva is rooted in shared values: tradition, elegance, innovation and a dedication to quality. A common vision that, over time, has contributed to redefining the boundaries of modern show jumping.
The Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping: the ultimate challenge
In 2013 Rolex strengthened its relationship with CHI Geneva by launching the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping, a circuit that unites four legendary events: The Dutch Masters, CHIO Aachen, CSIO Spruce Meadows ‘Masters’, and CHI Geneva.
The goal of the Grand Slam is simple yet revolutionary: to reward the rider who manages to win consecutively three of the four Grand Prix events. A monumental achievement completed only once, by Rolex Testimonee Scott Brash in 2015.
Toward a new historic triumph
After his victory in the CPKC ‘International’ Grand Prix, presented by Rolex at Spruce Meadows last September, Scott Brash enters CHI Geneva 2025 as the live contender for a potential second Grand Slam title, a historic opportunity in the sport.
Brash commented:
“I love CHI Geneva; there is a special feeling when you walk into the show. Every time I enter the arena I feel incredible emotions connected with the victories I achieved here. I have such special memories, from Hello Sanctos to Hello Senator. The organisers are amazing—they always look after the riders. For me, Geneva is a very special place.”
A history of legendary triumphs
The Rolex Grand Prix in Geneva has crowned many of the most iconic names in show jumping. Among the more recent winners is Richard Vogel, FEI European Individual gold medallist and Rolex Testimonee, who in 2023 claimed his first Major right in the Palexpo Arena.
Vogel recalled:
“Winning in Geneva was incredibly special. The atmosphere, with such an amazing crowd, was unique. As my first Rolex Major victory, it will always hold a special place in my heart.”
Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final
For more than twenty years, Rolex has supported the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final, an elite class created in 2001 to reward consistency and outstanding performance from the world’s top ten riders.
The event, held on Friday evening during CHI Geneva, is a direct clash among the sport’s superstars—a contest often compared to season-ending tennis championships such as the Nitto ATP Finals or the WTA Finals.
In 2023, Steve Guerdat made history by becoming the first rider to win three editions of the Top 10 Final. Other Rolex Testimonees who have lifted the trophy include Martin Fuchs, Kent Farrington, Kevin Staut, Scott Brash, Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum and Rodrigo Pessoa.
Among the protagonists of the 2025 edition will be Kent Farrington, the current World No. 1, known for his incredible consistency. A previous winner of the class, Farrington will be looking to regain the coveted title.
Farrington said:
“I think this is a really special event in our sport. It’s a showdown between the best of the best throughout the year, which is always exciting. As riders we love competing in it because it’s not something we often get to do. It’s always a great way to wrap up the year and have a head-to-head challenge with the very best.”
An unmissable event
With its history, prestige and unique atmosphere, CHI Geneva 2025 confirms itself as one of the must-see appointments for all enthusiasts of show jumping and elite sport. A place where precision meets emotion, and where, as Rolex reminds us, true victory lies not only in the trophy but in the journey that leads to achieving it.
