City of Montecatini hosts annual racing trot

The scheduled event at Montecatini is now synonymous with August 15th (a big bank holiday in Italy) for all the lovers of equestrian sports. The racing trot here started in 1953 and has seen legends such as Birbone, Tornese, Crevalcore, The Last Hurrah and riders like Vivaldo Baldi, Sergio Brighenti, Anselmo Fontanesi and the “ cannibale“ Enrico Bellei all triumph here in the past. However, the horse that ownes the rcord of most wins in this location is Mack Grace Sm with four wins in the GP which will not be easy to beat. There are two heats and one final with a total prize money of €132.000,00 (€103.000 of which are only for the final) for those who cannot wait for August 15th to come around.
