CSI3* Ascona: Chiaudani and Zuvadelli lead the charge for Italy

Good Equestrian World from the CSI3* in Ascona, Switzerland, where Natale Chiaudani finished the day in 5th place after two rounds on his horse V. The rider picked up 4 penalties in the second of the two runs.
There were only two clean rounds in the final phase of the competition and they were completed by Taizo Sugitani with his 15 year old KWPN Avenzio 3 (Animo) and Janika Sprunger on the 8 year old Geena (Darco). The win went to the Japanese rider who had a commanding lead ahead of the Swiss rider. Third place went to Oliver Lazarus, the South African rider who is making waves with Jochen Scherer’s team. He earnt a place on the podium thanks to the 11 year old Westfalen, Pour le Poussage (Polytraum).

There was a double Italian podium in the previous competition, the Hotel Eden Roc Ascona over 1.50m. Natale Chiaudani came second with V and Gianluca Palmizi was third with Corjulana while the win went to home rider Pius Schwizer on Chika’s Way (Caretino).

The real masterpiece of the day, however, beonged to Paolo Adamo Zuvadelli who rode to victory in the young horse catergory (6-7 years old) with his seven year old Eh Quick Nina (Quidams Rubin).
