CSIO BARCELONA 02

Barcelona, September 17th 2018.- A few days ago, CSIO Barcelona announced that world-famous French DJ Bob Sinclar, the artist behind the songs “Love Generation,” “World, Hold On (Children of the Sky),“ and “Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now),“ will give a performance to conclude the Longines FEI Nations CupTM Jumping Final, which will be held at Real Club de Polo de Barcelona on October 7 at 3:00 p.m.
For one hour, the Barcelona club’s Olympic jumping arena will be transformed into a real-life dance floor where spectators can actively participate in the incredible closing ceremony of the International Jumping Competition, Spain’s oldest international competition, which RCPB will host October 5–7.

PoloPark: music, food, entertainment, and family fun
Bob Sinclar’s performance, however, is only the icing on the cake of a wide variety of music and leisure activities. For the third year running, Real Club de Polo de Barcelona’s polo field will become the PoloPark: an inviting 20,000 m2 village full of activity at all hours of the day, guaranteeing entertainment and family fun.

Santi Serra’s equestrian shows, an exhibition of the Mounted Unit of the Urban Guard, and tests of canine agility, among many other attractions
Apart from the strictly athletic competitions, one of CSIO Barcelona’s major attractions is its equestrian shows. This year’s event will feature one of the best acts: “Vuela Libre,” led by prestigious trainer Santi Serra and sponsored by Estrella Damm. Serra, a national role model for natural horsemanship, shuns all external techniques and establishes a link between human and horse using gestures, looks, and sounds. The highly emotional, never-before-seen act from Sercam Shows will show the nature of the horse, a friendly, gentle, and sensitive animal.
New this year, the PoloPark will also have an enclosure with various exhibitions. In addition to other small-format shows led by Santi Serra, families will enjoy an exhibition of the prestigious Mounted United of the Urban Guard of Barcelona on Saturday, October 6 in the afternoon, as well as an agility show (tests of obstacles and canine agility) sponsored by True Instinct that can be seen over all three days of the competition (October 5, 6, and 7).

CSIO Barcelona, high-voltage equestrianism
In less than 30 days, RCPB will host the final of the Longines FEI Nations Cup, the most important team equestrian competition in the world, for the sixth year running. The current best 18 nations will compete for the lead in a competition starting Friday, October 5, with an initial qualifying round. The top eight teams will proceed directly to the final on Sunday, while the remaining teams will compete in the Longines Challenge Cup Saturday night. CSIO Barcelona’s sports programming will conclude with three other individual events, most notably the Copa de SM la Reina – Segura Viudas Trophy, which is celebrating its 40th edition this year.
