
CSIO Gorla Minore, all-Italian podium at the Grand Prix Young Riders

The Youth CSIO in Gorla Minore came to close yestarday. If France had dominated in the team competitions, winning three out of four, it was Italy that triumphed in the individual classes.
The top three of the Grand Prix Young Riders was all Italian, with Vittoria Fuser aboard Uriane de Fussigny taking the top honour. Behind her was Allegra Ieraci on Iselle van Orshof and Olimpia Bargagni atop of J’Espere van ter Pamelen.
Seven are the Azzurri riders entering the top ten, while the Grand Priz Junior was won by Belgium’s Gilles Nuytens with Jade. Second and third placed were two more Italians, Domenico Carlino with Annaley Courage and Alessandro Fontana with Corphina.
Austria came off best in the Grand Prix Children, with Lena Binder and Black sitting at first spot. Spain’s Carmen Mateos de Urbina on Casion followed in second position, while France’s Theodora Ivanov atop of Unefleche a Saiguede was third.
Belgium’s Gilles Nuytens also won the Grand Prix Pony with Kamirez van Orchid. Behind him, Sarah Desmoules on Tutti Quanti Joyeuse was second, while Chiara Saleri completed the podium riding Vales Blue Melody.
The last day of competition confirmed the positive impression of the athletes and the spectactors. Also Italian coaches Giuseppe Forte (pony) and Stefano Scaccabarozzi (children, junior and young riders) were really satisfied by the top form and the progress of the Azzurri teams.
