CSIO Gorla Minore, youngsters ready to go

The youth CSIO Gorla Minore kicks off today. The second leg of the FEI Jumping Nations Cup Youth has been included by the International Equestrian Federation into their calendar from this year with a series of qualifiers all around the world and will come to close with the final in Opglabbek, Belgium from September 6th to 9th.
The Azzurrini squad will be led by coach Stefano Scaccabarozzi, in charge of children, junior and young riders categories, while coach  Giuseppe Forte will be on top of pony squad. The two coaches selected the pairs during the Test Events taking place in last few months in Arezzo and Gorla Minore.
The schedule of the youngsters will reach its climax on July in Fontainebleau with the Youth European Championships (children, junior and young riders), fixed from 9th to 15th.
The competitions in Gorla Minore have started this morning at 9am. The pony category broke the seal with the 1.25m Big Tour in two rounds at the Jumping arena. The children category will follow at 11am with the 1.25m Big Tour in two rounds, while at 1pm again a pony category will take on in the 1.15m/1.20m Small Tour against the clock. The children category will come later with the 1.15m/1.20m Small Tour at 2.30pm.
The Equinoxe Arena hosts some more competitions today starting from 10am, as follows: CSIO Junior 1.30m Small Tour against the clock, CSIO Young Rider 1.35m Small Tour against the clock, CSIO Junior 1.35m Big Tour in two rounds and CSIO Young Rider 1.40m Big Tour in two rounds.
