CSIO3* Arezzo: round-up from Thursday. Today the Nations Cup gets underway.

The Arezzo and San Marino CSIO3* began yesterday in Italy. There were several trials taking place on the opening day of which the qualifying round for the GP, the Prix Happy Horse over 1.45m, which was won by Polish rider Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski on Crazy Quick (Chacco – Blue).
The Italian representatives finished as follows: Massimo Grossato with Undorado Z (3rd place), Filippo Moyersoen on Loro Piana Canada (4th place), Roberto Arioldi with Loro Piana Loreena (5th place), Roberto Previtali on Lucaine (6th place), Piergiorgio Bucci with Renata du Theil (8th), Matilde Giorgia Bianchi on Una Bella HS (12th), Riccardo Pisani with Adventure (14th), Andrea Campagnaro with Antartica ter Doorn (16th), Bruno Chimirri with Luca (17th), Emilio Bicocchi on Ares (18th), Marco Porro with Colombea (20th) and Davide Sbardella on Triomphe van Schuttershof (21st).

Here are the results meanwhile for the category reserved to young horses. The 5 year old division was won by Gabriele Bresciani on Bijou della Bassanella (Balou du Rouet) while there was another podium finish for Italy and a third place for Luca Demaria with Clintige FZ (Clinton). Second place meanwhile went to Brazil’s Stephan de Freitas Barcha on Djiminy Criket des Bergeries (Baloubet du Rouet). Venezuela’s Gustavo Arroyo finished in first place in the 7 year-old horse category with G and C Fredo LS. He was followed closely by Vincenzo Cinelli with Onida in second and Andres Rodriguez with Caliber in third. Today’s big event is undoubtedly the latest stage of the Nations Cup for the European Second Division. It all begins at 14.30 local time. Italy are the ninth team to take to the field in what will be a competition over 2 rounds. Italy’s team led by coach Hans Horn is as follows: Piergiorgio Bucci with Casallo Z, Daniele Da Rios on For Passion, Lorenzo De Luca with Elky van het Indihof and Juan Carlos Garcia on Moka de Mescam. Italy are aiming to conquer one of the three places available to go through to the final in Barcelona and also a place in the European Division 1.
