An impeccabile race today, Sunday September 4th, for Antonio Alfonso in the CSIO5* in Gijon on SNAI Boa Vista. The rider from Rome was awarded the 9th trial, a timed category with obstacle height of 1.40 m, with 0 errors on the obstacles and a time in the second lap of 26.76.
Just 14/100 of a second behind came the strong French rider Patrice Delaveau, who in Baritchou DBT, finished without committing any errors and with a time of 26.90. His time meant Irishman Cian O’Connor on Ballymore Eustace (0/0; 27.16) had to settle for third. An excellent performance from Natale Chiudani in SNAI Milos du Plain; the pair finished in sixth after a race without errors and a time of 29.94.
