CSIO5* Mannheim prepares for centenary celebrations.

There is an important event taking place this weekend in Germany in the form of the CSIO5* Mannheim which also happens to be celebrating its 100th anniversary.
The high profile show-jumping event is one of the most important in Germany and once again the Mannheim Nations Cup has attracted some of the biggest names on the international scene.

Italy will have several representatives including Piergiorgio Bucci, Giulia Martinengo Marquet, Emanuele Gaudiano, Lorenzo De Luca and Juan Carlos Garcia. They will be joined by fellow international stars such as Daniel Deusser, Laura Kraut, Paul Estermann, Michael Jung, Katharina Offel, Kevin Staut, Marco Kutscher, Pieter Devos, Marcus Ehning, Hans-Dieter Dreher and Christian Ahlmann.
Let’s take a step back now and round-up the results from the competitions that have taken place so far. Italian rider Emanuele Gaudiano came in second place in the Preis der VR Bank Rhein Neckar, a qualifying race for the Youngster Tour, with the 7 year-old BWP Illosionist (Toulon) and behind the winner Hans-Dieter Dreher with Cosima (Continio). Gaudiano also rode to a podium finish in the Preis von Europa over 1.55m coming in third place with Caspar (Casper) behind Hans-Dieter Dreher in second with Cool and Easy and Robert Whitaker with Catwalk IV (Colman) in first. The rest of the top-ten was as follows:
