Darragh Kenny (IRL) Jumps to Victory in the Canadian Utilities 1.55m at Spruce Meadows

Darragh Kenny and Zero K claimed a sensational win in the Canadian Utilities Cup 1.55m, one of the feature events of the CSI5* ‘Pan American’, presented by Rolex at Spruce Meadows. Currently ranked #18 in the world, the Irish rider delivered the fastest clear in the jump-off with a time of 40.72 seconds, securing a hard-fought victory in a class packed with top contenders.
Just 0.06 seconds behind, fellow Irishman Jordan Coyle had held the lead with Jorisca in 40.78 seconds, only to be edged out by Kenny in the final stages. Kara Chad, flying the Canadian flag aboard Igor GPH, rounded out the top three with a solid performance in front of the home crowd.
“The footing here is absolutely spectacular. I was just saying to Anderson Lima this morning – I’ve been coming here for years, probably over the last 15 – and this is the best I’ve ever seen it. It’s incredible. The horses are really jumping beautifully right now,” said Darragh Kenny after his win.
