Derin Demisroy speeds to Grand Prix victory in Arezzo

Derin Demirsoy took the top honours in the third week of the Tuscany Tour. The Turkish rider, atop of the Belgian Warmblood gelding Dadjak Ter Puttenen, set the record time of 41.60 seconds to defeat the competition of the 23 riders admitted to the final stage of the 1.50m CSI3* Grand Prix of Arezzo.
Belgium’s Gudrun Patteet did hold on for a long time on her leading position, but had to settle for the runner-up position, while third was Marc Dilasser from France with Sea Coast Coco Berlini under the saddle. Best of the Italians was Michael Cristofoletti, just off the podium with his Belony (0/0 in 44“47).
‘I’m very happy for the result,’ the winner said at the end of the class. ‘My horse was fantastic, he was really speed in the barrage and I have to thank him for his great performance. It was our first Grand Prix time together, it could have not gone better. This win will be of good omen for the rest of the season. I love the Arezzo Equestrian Centre, everybody here is friendly and kind, the organization was perfetc.“
Italy triumphed in the Small Grand Prix in Arezzo thanks to Emanuele Gaudiano’s victory in the 1.45m class. Aboard Chalou (Chacco Blue x Baloubet du Rouet), the Matera-born rider ended clear in a time of 35.64, followed by France’s Harold Boisset on T’Obetty du Domaine (0/0 in 36.05) and Ireland’s Alex Duffy, third in 36.66 seconds on Insolite V’T Molenvondel.
The third week of the 2018 Tuscany Tour has come to close, waiting for the final CSI 4* on April 3rd. Among the fixtures to be marked on the calendar, there is the second edition of the “Chianina d’Oro“, a dinner scheduled on Friday 6th in the Vip Area of the Arezzo Equestrian Centre. During the evening the “Chianina d’oro“ award will be handed to one of the season’s best rider in the Tuscany Tour.
On Saturday, April 7, a charity night for helping children is scheduled. This is a gala dinner organised to support the Dynamo Camp organization and will involve chef Luca Montersino. Partners of the event, which is sponsored by the Italian Federation of Equestrian Sport, are 2018 Tuscany Tour main sponsor “Cavalleria Toscana“ and Be Honest.
