Devin Ryan robs the limelight in North Salem
The North American World Cup division stopped off in North Salem recently with Devin Ryan in action with KWPN Eddie Blue – an 8 year-old gelding – taking the win on home soil.
The US rider beat the rest of the competition on a course designed by Alan Wade and Nigel Jess with 14 obstacles which put the riders through their paces.
Just five horse and rider combinations managed to clear the course to make it through to the final phase which saw Ryan take the spoils in front of his fans.
Speaking afterwards Ryan praised his mount Eddy Blue. Ryan has put a lot of faith in the horse and is optimistic for the future.
Looking ahead, the duo are setting their sights on the final of the World Cup in Paris and the World Equestrian Games in Bromont.
But for the time being the aim is to keep strengthening the partnership and getting better so they can reach their objectives.
