Don VFP Z and Glock Zonik join the Dutch team for the World Equestrian Games
The Dutch Olympic fund has enhanced its team of horses ahead of the Tryon World Equestrian Games in August. The two biggest names are Edward Gal’s Glock Zonik and Harrie Smolders’ Don VHP.
Smolders and DON VHP have had a fantastic season, winning the Longines Global Champions Tour and coming second at the Gothenburg European Championships. On the back of their great form in 2017, the Dutch have high hopes for the duo in Tryon this summer.
Zonik on other hand is a rising star in dressage; while the European Championships with Edward Gal at the reigns might have been a bit too early for the 10-year-old stallion, the future is bright for the pairing in their bid to uphold the Netherlands’ great tradition in the discipline.
