Drag hunting at Scaldasole Castle

One of the most loved drag-hunting events for the citizens of Milan took place on a splendid Autumnal day. It started in the castle of Scaldasole and carried on through the fields and country side of the Lomellina.The Mastership of the day was made up of Leopoldo Cicogna Mozzoni, as MHF (Master Fox Hound), Alessandro Berlingieri and Filippo Pirera as HW (hound whippers) and Carlo Severgnini as Field Master. Nine fox hound couples made up the pack and the hunt went on for five long checks.The terrain was particularly challenging for the riders and the day involved all the usual traditions involved with drag-hunting, including breakfast in the court of the castle organised by the Srada family.
