Dutch success in the Rome Grand Prix

Gabriele Grassi had to give way to Jody Van Gerwen, though coming out best in the Rome weekend. The young Dutch rider was the one who took it all in the Grand Prix of Rome this afternoon. In the saddle of her ten year old Dendola-B (by Numero Uno), she won this 1m45 GP with a time of 41.39 seconds. Only she and Grassi remained clear. The Italian rider took second place with his My Cool Passion in 44.49 seconds. For him there was the satisfaction of a first place and two second spots in the three-day event, which crowned him as king of Rome. Third was Filippo Marco Bologni on Quidich de la Chavee with 37.92 seconds on the clock. Despite their fast round, they ended with four penalties and finished on the lower step of the podium. Completing the top five was Dario Luigi Agosta and his Viskann di Sabuci, followed by Christian Marini and his Lexus v Thornleze. Sixth was Andrè Coutinho Mendonca Nagata (Isco de Amoranda, 5/0 – 39”65), ahead of Luca Marziani (Saxo des Hayettes, 5/0 – 41”28) and Filippo Lupis (Breezer, 5/0 – 41”72).
