Tomorrow ten months of intense compeition and hardwork in 16 competitions across the globe will pay off for the athletes who have qualified for the two stages of the FEI World Cup Finals in Paris. In the meantime, last night Elizabeth Madden, the star from New York, put her talents on display once again. Combining elegance, precision and determination the American showed why she is one of the very best in the discipline as she cemented her place at the top of the rankings, finishing the Jump Off in 33.22 seconds on her dark bay Breitling LS. Harrie Smolders, riding Emerald, finished just off the pace in second, while Swede Henrik von Eckermann, riding Toveks Mary Lou, came in third. Expectations are high ahead of tomorrow as everyone awaits to see who will be crowned champion for 2018.  HSJ
