After the fourth leg of the Longines FEI World Cup in Lyon, the attention now turns towards Germany and the Stuttgart Masters.
The five-star event always attracts the top riders from all four corners of the globe and got underway yesterday with victory for Michael Jung in the indoor cross competition.
Unfortunately there was also a fall in the above event which required medical attention, but luckily it proved to be nothing serious for Sidney Dufresne.
In the show-jumping meanwhile Felix Hassmann won the Bardusch Prize with the 12 year-old gelding SL Brazonado.
Tomorrow meanwhile show-jumping will steal the limelight once again with the World Cup GP qualifiers.
On the subject of the World Cup, let’s bring you up to speed with the rankings which see Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann leading the way on 34 points.
In second we find the winner of the last leg Simon Delestre on 31 points whereas the final podium slot is currently in the hands of fellow Frenchman Kevin Staut on 28 points.
Italy’s best ranked rider is Alberto Zorzi in fifth spot on 25 points. For more, see here: https://data.fei.org/Ranking/Search.aspx?rankingCode=S_WC&nfGroup=4001
