Equestrian World: a horse goes searching for its owner at the local cemetery

The following is a story of an incredibly moving event that happened recently at the local cemetery in Giulianova, an Italian city in the region of Abruzzo.
Members of staff of the cemetery were left flabbergasted last Saturday when they in fact saw a horse making its way through the headstones and graves.
The horse had made its way from its stables by itself to the cemetery where just a few days earlier its owner was buried. Staff members took the horse to a fenced off area and alerted the local traffic officer who took out the animal’s microchip.
Shortly after a young man passed by asking if they had by chance seen a missing horse that had left its stables 2 days previously. He went on to explain that the horse was probably looking for its owner with whom there was a very close relationship and was the father of the young man.
Once the horse recognised the young man, it proceeded to make its way peacefully back to the stables.
There have been similar stories in the past with dogs longing for their deceased owners, but the site cannot recall an incident with a horse.
