Eventing Euros: Italy bumped up to third as Germany stripped of medal

FEI have disqualified the German eventing team after finding a controlled medication substance in the analysis of one of its horses Samurai du Thot.
The decision means that Germany have been stripped of the silver medal won at the 2017 European Championships. Germany’s loss however benefits Italy.
Originally fourth, the Azzurri are bumped up to third with the following riders: Pietro Roman with Barraduff, Pietro Sandei with Rubis de Prere, Vittoria Panizzon with Chequers Play The Game and Arianna Schivo with Quefira de L’Ormeau.
