Federal FISE Elections loom

The date of the Extraordinary National Election Asembly to choose the new FISE councillors has been set for February 27th at the Hotel Le Dune at Lido di Camaiore. Equestrian centres presidents, coaches and instructors will aim to reconstruct the federal body, which, it is hoped, should run the sport. The incumbant president Andrea Paul Gross is meeting, regione by region, the presidents of equestrian centres. On Februaury 10 the meeting took place in Lombardy and the main talking point was the new regulation for show jumping, which comes into place from March. Many believe that removing the prize fund for the first graders will disappoint those riders and the Group A organising committees because it becomes less expensive to participate in B and C events, and also because the minimum number of participants might not be met to let the event go ahead.
