
FEI World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses 2014: yesterday’s results.

Let’s take a look now at the latest goings on from the FEI World Jumping Championships for Young Horses taking place in Lanaken. After yesterday’s excellent victory in the first round of qualifying for Italian rider Paolo Adamo Zuvadelli on Eh Bombay, the pair will be back in action this morning for the second phase of qualifying.
However, before today’s events, let’s run through yesterday’s results. In the 6 year-old horse category, the first phase was won by Germany’s Harm Lahde with Oak Grove’s Dr. J (Diamant de Semilly). In second place we find Portugal’s Maria Vozone Vilar on Une de Printemps (Diamant de Semilly) and in third place Belgian rider Wim Smet on Ibabco (Nabab de Reve). The following Italians also qualified: Andrea Enrico Herholdt with Quantador 3 (Quinta Real) – 19th place after a clear and Giovanni Consorti with Don’t Worry B (Numero Uno) – 23rd after a clear. In the 5 year-old horse category, there was a top performance by young lady-rider Angelica Augustsson from Sweden with Irish sorrel Ard Ginger Pop (Luidam) who recorded the quickest clear. A lot of riders finished in joint first place with 0 penalties such as Tim van den Broeck with Cliffer Z (Clintissimo) and Brazilian Camila Mazza De Benedicto on Vrai Chique Jvh Z (Verdi). Bryan Mascenti also deserves a special mention after a clear run on Ciao Ciao (Clinton) while Daniela Savio followed suit with her mount Quaresmas de Marchesana (Conte Della Caccia) as did Fabio d’Aquila with Basilea (Eurocommerce Berlin).
