Gallops of Morocco coming up

From February 25th to March 4th, about a hundred equestrians worldwide will be heading for the Moroccan Desert in the Drâa-Tafilalet region, surrounded by the sand dunes of Merzouga, for an invasion full of adventure. The track will be remarkable and distinct with the discovery of breathtaking landscapes, rendezvous and creating memories with horseriders from different regions a maximum of 12 countries. The adventure started few month ago with routes and systematic planning. The organizers and participants were the Morrocan National Association of Equestrian Tourism and its parent company, the Moroccan Federation of Equestrian Sports. Through its partners organizations of the 2018 Gallops, two Moroccan teams will take part in this raid, which is not a race in itself, but a course that includes regularity tests over 200 kilometers, divided in 6 phases of 25-40 kilometers to be completed within an ideal timeframe. Beside the Moroccan teams sponsored by the SOREC, other countries have already committed themselves, such as the Sultanate of Oman, representing its sponsor, the Royal Cavalry. Oman is the home of adventure first began in 2014, with the first edition of the Gallops (of Oman) which left remarkable memories. There are other nations from the Gulf are participating such as Kuwait and Qatar. The organizers also registered teams from Indonesia, America, Luxembourg, and Ireland. France had the highest number of participants in 2014, over 40 horsemen will be participating. The partisanism of the first edition will be revived. It will be possible to follow the raid live on EKISM app, the first mobile applications platform 100% dedicated to the equestrian world. As partner of the advenure, EKISM will help you to prepare for the horse trail and to experience this adventure on live. Sophie Roscheck, founder of Ekism, will be part of the trip with the Gallops of Morocco team.   The nights will be illuminated with parties which showcase traditional Moroccan shows and animations inspired from movies. To conclude it is an adventure full of festivities around the Barbe horse and Arab Barbe horse, staged in the magical desert of Merzouga starting from February 25th and coming to an end of 4th March. European press
