On the opening day of the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final,   a 1.45m warm-up class was held at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris to prepare for the four days of competition ahead.
Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat rode his second mount of the day, Alamo, to a clean round, finishing in 33.98 seconds to top the class. Behind him was Germany’s Daniel Deusser in a time of 34.81 seconds aboard Cornet. Rounding out the top three was Estonia’s Rein Pill after putting in a clear jumping effort in 34.83 seconds atop of A Brok.
The first  round of the Longines FEI World Cu Jumping Final will be held this evening at 8.30pm, with the first pair in action being Mexico’s Gustavo Ramos and Izzy Miaki. This morning, instead, the pairs qualified for the World Cup Dresssage finals will get accustomed to the Paris Arena in their first warm-up class.
The show will continue in the afternoon with different competitions: a class 5* against the clock without jump-off 1m45 is scheduled at noon. It is not a World Cup test but useful to earn points for the Longines FEI ranking.
The CSI2* Prix Ile de France, a class against the clock 1.45m with jump-off, will follow at 3.45pm. Italy’s Emanuele Gaudiano will feature with his 9-year-old Carlotta.
You can follow all competitions live on FEI Tv.
