Great expectation for Pau Horse Trials

A week of big challenges awaits the fans of the horse events, as Les Etoiles de Pau CCI4* takes place from October 25 to 29 in Pau, France.
Unique in the world, this event combines two 4* disciplines in a single event: the FEI Classics CCI4*, along with the CCI2* and the CAIO4. 119 world-class athletes from 11 countries will be competing in a five day event which will register 40 thousand spectators. This is the 27th edition of the competition that will see big names in the entry list, such as France’s Maxime Livio and Nicolas Astier (respectively third in ranking and Olympic champion in charge with the French team). Along with them, New Zealand’s legends Andrew Nicholson and Mark Todd, Germany’s stellar pair made up of Michael Jung and La Bioesthetique Sam, and Britain’s Pippa Funnell and Belgian Karin Donckers. The hard task to design the course was given to Pierre Michelet, who was also in charge at Rio Olympics in 2016 and 2014 FEI World Equestrian Games. photo: Nicolas Astier & Molakai, 2016 photo Nicolas Hodys press release
