After Paris, it’s off to Asian and Hong Kong to welcome the Longines Masters from 9th to 11th February, which is the second of the three intercontinental stages before the grand finale scheduled in New York.
This year Hong Kong celebrates its sixth edition as a Longines Masters stage, which has risen to the heights in Asia with the well-deserved recognition for the best professional sport  show, the Best Live Experience for a Professional Sport Event awarded by the Sports Industry Awards & Conference.
The Asia Horse Week, the largest trade show in Asia, will also take place at the same time.
In the meantime a short presentation of what will be the 2018 program of the event has already been held, which will include three days of intense competitions, and the new sponsors will be presented including the prestigious Maserati brand which is backing the Maserati Power Masters.
Now let’s see some of the first-class names that shine on the list of participants in the CSI5 * Hong Kong: we start with Daniel Deusser who will try for a second victory in a row after the Paris success with Cornet d’Amour in December, there will also be Simon Delestre who wants to win as so far he has only come close and then the Olympic champion Kevin Staut, eager for the Longines Speed Challenge.
Roger -Yves Bost, the winner of the very first edition of the Longines Masters in Hong Kong, Patrice Delaveau, then Christian Ahlmann, John Whitaker, Michel Robert, Jerome Guery, the US rider Reed Kessler along with the talents coming out of the Beerbaum stables; the young Christian Kukuk, while for the moment the only Italian that appears on the list of participants is Emanuele Gaudiano.
The prize money is one of the richest in the international scene with the 2,250,000 bonus to be won in the case of a Slam for Daniel Deusser (triple wins in Paris, Hong Kong and New York consecutively), if someone else wins in Hong Kong the bonus will be rewarded for the triple victory between the two seasons, namely: Hong Kong – New York and Paris.
The event in Hong Kong will be from 9 to 11 February with the spotlight on another spectacular Longines Masters stage.Credits: photo RBPressAgency
