Horses beat men 1-0

The hunting permit was organised quickly but it did not bring the expected results. The mayor of Ne, Cesare Pesce, agreed with an organisation of animal catchers to capture the herd of wild horses that had been running free in the Arzeno area, creating disorder and some damage to the inhabitants. So the team set off yesterday morning, the horses’ whereabouts identified. The animals were then rounded up and were about to be loaded onto a horse box to then be sold in auction but the horses sensed the danger  – the final hypothesis was the slaughterhouse – and leapt over the fence to gallop away to safety.
