Starting today, horseshowjumping.tv opens a new and more personal window onto the world of equestrian sports with the launch of “HSJ Lifestyle Interviews”—a special feature designed to explore the more intimate, everyday side of those who live and breathe the competition world.

Through short conversations, riders share a glimpse into their lives: passions, pre-competition rituals, secret dreams, and those unique details that make them stand out—even beyond the show ring.

In Gorla Minore, at the heart of Italian equestrianism, we meet Margherita Fiorelli, 22 years old, a young rider with a distinctive style and a student of interior design at Istituto Marangoni in Milan. Raised among horses, fences, and competitions, Margherita carries with her not only the grit typical of the sport but also a natural elegance that reflects in every aspect of her life.

Equieffe Equestrian Center: A Family Dream

The Equieffe Equestrian Center, owned by her family, is much more than a riding facility. It’s a home, a place that grows with her.
“I’d love to work on the interiors of the center,” she shares enthusiastically. “There’s a future project I can’t talk much about yet, but I truly hope I’ll get to handle that part. I want to merge my two biggest passions: horses and design.”
A clear and creative vision, promising a fascinating future for this already iconic spot in the equestrian world.

Rituals, Superstitions, and Lucky Charms

Every rider has their own little secrets, and Margherita is no exception. Her “Ring Bag” is never without her lucky charms—for her horse—alongside essential gear like helmets and accessories. But there’s one personal ritual that tells of the deep bond with her best horse, Bloom Of Semilly:
“Before the important competitions, I give her a kiss on the neck at the gate. It’s our way of wishing each other good luck. And it almost always works.”

Fashion, Style, and Inspirations

Studying at Marangoni has undoubtedly sharpened Margherita’s eye for style. She defines herself as passionate about fashion just as much as horses. Outside of the equestrian world, the designer who inspires her most is Etro:
“I love how extraordinary and unique it is, how it always stands out with an unconventional twist.”
In the equestrian world, she’s drawn to a new emerging brand that blends technical riding apparel with fashion, offering modern, unique pieces with a creative spirit—a combination that mirrors her perfectly.

Dreams and Destinations

Her biggest dream? “To have my own interior design studio, but without ever giving up horses. I want to carry both passions forward. Find the perfect balance.”
And when it comes to travel, her mind drifts far away: Madagascar or South America. Exotic places full of color, culture, and nature—just like her free spirit.

Margherita Fiorelli is a young woman full of creativity and sporting determination, ready to build a future that brings all her passions together.
