Irish delight in Abu Dhabi

Dermott Lennon put down a marker for the Irish when he took the trophy for the opening five-star competition at Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates this afternoon against stiff opposition from a 46-strong field.The County Down-based rider, who is a former World Champion, successfully steered Tolett through the two phases to claim the €5,600 prize, beating Swiss challenger Clarissa Crotta by just over half a second in the final round.
