An important charity initiative of the work of the Italian Horse Protection will be held in Milan from 1 to 3 February in support of the animal rights nonprofit organization that operates in Italy and helps horses that have been the victims of exploitation and abuse.
It is called Islander Project and Nicole Berlusconi’s aim to disseminate as much as possible the concept that the horse cannot and should not be considered only in relation to its purpose (eg in sports), but more as a companion of adventures and a loyal and sincere friend.
The focus of this project is a photographic exhibition, “ Shots of Freedom ,“ in which the photographic lens of Francesca de Fazio captures 50 shots in the immense emotional images of horses: black and white ones of the horses just recovered from IHP, skinny, emaciated and weak, in contrast with the color pictures of horses on the estate of IHP Filicaja after their recovery, vigorous and serene animals, returned to life.
The Islander project will support the work of IHP donating to charity the proceeds of which will be sold to the highest bidder photographs of “Shots in freedom “, the exhibition will be held at Spazio Oberdan in Milan in Via Vittorio Veneto 2 and the auction will be held on the last day, February 3.
The initiative is important to continue to spread and popularize the concept in which the horse, a generous and sensitive animal, must recover its identity, unfortunately, too often lost between show business and the urgent request for sporting result.
