Italian horse-breeding finals, MIPAAF: joint winners in the free-jump trial at Verona.

It isn’t just the riders taking centre stage in Verona. There are also plenty of promising horses that are impressing in the northern city where yesterday the Italian national horse breeding finals were taking place. Please see below for the winners of the morphology trial in the 3 year-old horse category and the free-jump trial.
We have a joint winner in the free-jump trial which was won by both Forever Sun and Suellen. The former is a 2011 Italian grey mare and daughter to Cardento x Clinton and runner up in the Sicilian regional trials. She was presented by Roberta Rita Grillo and collected a total of 103.25 points in the final phase yesterday for a total of 1562.50 points. The same score was achieved by Suellen, presented by Mario Rota and who comes away for the third year in a row with a national-title winning horse. Mario Rota also had other horses competing in the final yesterday and they all finished in the top-10: Athina Baia in 4th and Buio di Valmarina in 7th. Zanzibar, presented by Pasquale Ionà, finished in third with a points score of 100.33 and a total of 1562.50 points.

As for the morphology trial, the female category reserved to horses of 3 years of age was won by Dimilly (Diamant de Semilly). She was presented by Andrea Scianaro and finished with a points score of 109.92. Aconnie (Contendro), presented by Mario Rota, came in second with 104.92 points while third place was taken by Etna Grey (Nadir) presented by Alessia Ruggieri.
The national title in the male category reserved to horses of 3 years of age meanwhile went to Bonfire (Nadir di San Patrignano). The horse presented by Alessandro Rosa took first place with a points score of 106. 92. Second place went to Franzoni Gian Pietro’s Suerte de Marchesana with a score of 104.75 points and the final podium slot went to Coeur (Conte della Caccia) with 103.58 points and presented by Luana Rocci.
