“My mare was simply great tonight,” said Markus about  the mare bred by Katja Junfer who he broke and trained.  “ She was with me all the way from day one and I am really happy to have won these titles in the best European event we have!”
Claiming the reserve championship in the L4 division,  with a score of 219.5, was Grischa Ludwig riding Wimpys Little Boo, a stallion by Wimpys Little Step  and out of Miss Boo Twist (by Boogernic), owned by Veronique Parise.  “These are three-year-olds that give us all they have and we should never forget this,” said Grisha.  “My intention was that of not showing him here but his owners insisted that I should and they were right!”
Reserve Champions in the L 3 division, with a score of 218, were Mirko Piazzi  and VR Great Spark (Jacs Electric Spark x Great Dudes Whiz x Conquistador Whiz) , a mare owned by Rabboni Reining Horses. “My mare was a little tired tonight and that’s probably why she wasn’t as good as she usually is in her circles and spins, but I’m happy with this title and I look forward to showing her in the NRHA European Futurity next year,” said Mirko.
Piazzi  also tied for the co-reserve championship in the L 2 with Tommaso Beltramini riding  Wimpy Step Surprise (Wimpys Little Step x Surprise Doc Topsail x Surprise Enterprise), a stallion owned by Mattia Camisi.  “I am really happy with this unexpected great result,” siad Tommaso.  “I’ve been riding this horse since the beginning of this year when Max Ruggeri passed the reins to me.  Tonight his stops were just unbelievable!”
Beltramini and his mount also tied for the L 1 reserve championship.
Winning the International Reining Breeders Association (IRHBA) 2013 Top Stallion Award was Wimpys Little Step, owned by Xtra Quarter Horses LLC.  The award is determined by the sum of the money in all levels of the IRHA/NRHA Futurity won by the offspring of the stallion subscribed to the incentive program.
Katja Jungfer of Germany took home the IRHBA Top Breeder Award being the breeder of the IRHA/NRHA Open L 4 Champion.
