Italian rider De Luca finishes on the podium at the Vilamoura Champions Tour 2014

The Vilamoura Champions Tour 2014 began yesterday and on the first day in Portugal there was great Equestrian World for Italian rider Lorenzo De Luca who rode to a third place finish in the competition over 1.45m.
De Luca with Paratrooper, a 2005 KWPN son to Oklund, completed the circuit with a clear and was only beaten by second ranked Leon Thijssen from Holland on Haerthago (Heartbreaker) and the winner Holly Gillott. The victory of the British rider came thanks to a time of 36.95 on Dougie Douglas ( Ard VDL Douglas).
