
Italians on the hunt for points in Samorin

The Nations Cup moves on to Samoin, in Slovakia, with the CSIO5* this week. The team chosen by Duccio Piergiogio to represent Italy at the first stop of the FEI Nations Cup European Division 1 are Piergiorgio Bucci (Alicante, Deniro, Driandria), Bruno Chimirri (Tower Mouche), Luca Marziani (Don’t Worry B, Saxo Des Hayettes and Tokyo du Soleil), under-25 Luigi Polesello (Farao van’T Vennehof and Panama Tame), and Alberto Zorzi (Ulane de Coquerie, Vannan and Viceversa de la Roque).
The Azzurri will be looking pick up points for the FEI Nations Cup in Samorin, as will Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Ireland, Spain and Belgium.
The new season sees the implementation of the new format with the Nations Cup trials taking place on Sunday, instead of the Grand Prix which will be held on Friday April 27.
After Samorin the Italian side will be on the field in Sopot, Poland, from 14 to 17 June, Flasterbo, Sweden from 12 to 15 July, Hickstead, Great Britain, from 26 to 29 July an then Dublin, Ireland. While the final this year will be held in Barcelona from 4 to 7 October.
