Italians wild about Rodeo

The myth of the Far West seemed to have disappeared some time ago in Italy. Gone are days of the grand western films made in America or Italy, few children nowadays enjoy playing cowboys and Indians. In actual fact, though, thousands of people flock to shows and rodeos around the country and take pleasure in the activities involved in trying to tame wild animals, just like a real cowboy. The Rodeo was born, and is widely spread, in the USA and in Mexico. It is the national sport in Chile and over the years has become popular also in Europe and Italy. The Cowboys Guest Ranch, with its Palatexas that holds 1400 spectators, appears to be always sold out. Here they don’t just hold a Rodeo but an all round level of entertainment from riding bulls and horses to games for even the youngest of visitors and steak house restaurants. The IRCA is an organisation that is based in the province of Alessandria that reunites all those passionate about Rodeo in Italy and organises events on an international scale.
