Jumping Amsterdam: Saturday Night Sold Out as Marc Houtzager Bids Farewell to Sterrehof’s Dante
The Saturday evening session of Jumping Amsterdam on 24 January is officially sold out, but overwhelming public demand has created one final, exceptional opportunity. To allow more fans to witness a moment destined to enter equestrian sport history, an additional grandstand section has been added, with a limited number of tickets now available.
On Saturday night, in the arena of the RAI Amsterdam, Marc Houtzager will bid farewell to his long-time sporting partner Sterrehof’s Dante, the horse with whom he has written unforgettable chapters, including two Amsterdam World Cup victories. A deeply emotional farewell, to be experienced before a packed arena, marking a true passing of the torch in the history of international show jumping.
Meanwhile, preparations at the RAI Amsterdam are in full swing. Trucks move constantly in and out, the competition arena is taking shape, grandstands are rising, and a large team is working tirelessly behind the scenes: everything is converging towards a single moment. On Thursday 22 January, the doors will open and Jumping Amsterdam will officially come to life.
The 65th edition already promises to be a special one: more than sixty years of history meet the energy of a new sporting season. Not only top-level sport, but also atmosphere, connection and entertainment, welcoming the public in a way that only Amsterdam can.
News and opportunities for spectators
There is also good news for Saturday daytime visitors: the Jumping Deluxe tables for the daytime programme have been expanded. This experience is designed for those who wish to enjoy the event from a privileged position, with comfort, dedicated service and a close-up view of the action. Availability remains limited.
To celebrate the 65th anniversary, the brand-new Jumping Amsterdam Experience also makes its debut. In Hall 10, visitors will be able to embark on a journey through 65 editions of sport, emotion and history, featuring historic trophies, iconic photographs and legendary figures from the past.
Finally, there will be space for commemorative merchandise as well. In collaboration with Onori Fashion & Gifts, exclusive items created especially for the 65th edition will be available for purchase only during the event, alongside a curated selection of official merchandise.
The countdown has begun: Jumping Amsterdam is ready to light up the arena once again.
