Jumping International de Saint-Lô 2025: Dylan Levallois triumphs in the Ranking 4 with Brasilia de l’Abbaye
A thrilling day at the Pôle Hippique de Saint-Lô
The second day of the Jumping International de Saint-Lô 2025 delivered top-level sport, with technical rounds, passionate crowds and an atmosphere worthy of the world’s best indoor shows.
The star of the day was Dylan Levallois, who rode his Brasilia de l’Abbaye to victory in the Ranking 4 – Prix Ville de Saint-Lô / Saint-Lô Agglo, stopping the clock at 39.41 seconds.
In a highly competitive jump-off featuring six combinations, the young rider from Normandy beat Robert Whitaker (GBR) with Vermento (39.65 sec) and Cédric Hurel (FRA) with Fantasio Floreval Z (40.67 sec).
An outstanding performance that now places Levallois among the main contenders for Sunday’s Grand Prix.
French dominance in CSI 1 and 2 classes
The day began early with the Prix Cheval Liberté (CSI 1 – 1.25 m), won by Sophie Le Connetable riding Billy d’Orangerie. She was followed by Pauline Cavasse on Fabuleuse des Étangs and Olympe Zouin Virag on Drasco.
Next came the Prix Cheval Normandie (CSI 2 – 1.35 m), where Gwendal Frigout and Fidjy des Mairies claimed victory ahead of Youri Trotereau and Switzerland’s Franck Goubard.
These results confirmed the strong form of French riders competing on home soil.
Gregory Cottard closes the day in style with the Prix Groupama
In the afternoon, the Prix Groupama (CSI 4 – 1.40 m) rounded off the sporting programme with an all-French podium.
Grégory Cottard took the win with Action Bellevue PS, ahead of Mathieu Billot (Cosacara Z) and Lucas Fournier (Cyranan Z).
A thrilling class that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats until the final fence.
Tribute to Donatello d’Auge: the world’s number one show jumping horse
The most emotional moment of the day was the tribute to Donatello d’Auge, currently ranked no.1 in the WBFSH world standings for show jumping horses.
The champion entered the arena to great applause, accompanied by his owner Susana Garcia Cereceda Épaillard, his rider Julien Épaillard – also the event’s ambassador – and Pascal Cadiou, president of the Stud-book Selle Français.
Born in Normandy at Haras de la Bosquetterie, Donatello d’Auge represents the excellence of French breeding and has helped keep the Selle Français studbook at the top of the world rankings for the third consecutive year.
