The major class of this Friday at the Jumping International de Valence, the Prix MMA 1.55m with jump-off, witnessed once again a match between France and Belgium, as we saw it just last week, in the Prix Axeria of the CSI4* on Saturday. The same two riders, François Mathy Jr. and Simon Delestre, fought against one another for the first place in this qualificative class for the Grand Prix. Once more, the Belgian rider took the prize from the hands of the French rider. Riding Casanova de l’Herse, the Belgian wrapped up his jump-off in just 36.10 seconds. «I’m thrilled to beat Simon one more time (laugh)! Casanova is such in a great shape these days, he jumped so well. I’m not going to ride him on the Grand Prix, as he already run one last weekend and did great with only four penalties. I will ride Uno de la Roque, with whom I was victorious last Saturday.“ Simon Delestre, with Chesall Zimequest (with whom he won the Grand Prix 4* here in Valence, in 2016), took the second place in 36.45 seconds. Completing the podium, the French rider Pénélope Leprévost finished her course in 37.15 seconds. With Gain Line, the gold medallist at the Olympic Games of Rio has definitively returned to the highest level this past few months. She offered herself a qualification to the Grand Prix Hubside of Sunday, the main and most awaited class of the week-end. Find all the information on: www.jumpingvalence.com
